Art has a magical, propitiatory, ancestral effect. Colors have a psychophysiological effect on us.
Black is the non-color, or extreme color. Personally, it has an overwhelming effect on my psyche, my emotions and my awareness.
Each time it is as if it brings out something that is deep within and brings it to the surface.
It is the color with which I feel the greatest change.
My body and my instinct call to it at the necessary moment. The act visible in the video is the documentation of that change and the act that gave birth to the spirit series.
The spirit series represents the energy within us.
